‘Leading through Making’ seminar and articleIn June 2011 DMWM organised in collaboration with CraftNet a successful seminar for craft sector professionals called ‘Leading through Making’. The aim of the event was to explore the potential of leading through practice and different ways of moving practice forward.
Following on from the presentations and discussions of the day, DMWM has commissioned Kate Stoddart to write an article about the recent experiences of the five designer maker guest speakers and to explore the different interpretations of leadership within the context of craft practice.
The article is now available in full on our website and also on Interface http://www.a-n.co.uk/interface/reviews/single/1689044
