Designer Maker West Midlands

DMWM has made the strategic decision to have a fallow year, following an unsuccessful application to Arts Council England for funding as a National Portfolio Organisation (NPO). This means that DMWM has no funding from April 2012 to end of March 2013 and will not be delivering professional development activities, signposting of information/opportunities or sending e-bulletins. Downloadable articles and handbook resources are still available on this website by clicking the ‘Articles’ and ‘DMWM Handbooks’ headings above.

 

DMWM has over a period of negotiation and reflection considered all the options for the future of the organisation. It is a strategic decision informed by consultation with regional stakeholders and in the best interests of the organisation.

 

The decision has been a difficult one to make and hasn’t been made lightly or quickly. The intention is that in a years time we will re-look at the opportunities for funding and partnership when there will be greater clarity regarding the position of the arts and the needs of the craft sector.
