Designer Maker West Midlands Creative Residency at The Art HouseDMWM have created three residencies for West Midlands makers at The Art House www.the-arthouse.org.uk Wakefield, Yorkshire.
Benefits of the Residency This exciting opportunity offers practitioners time to research and develop their creative practice away from the normal distractions of their studio and home, including:
The three residencies will run for three weeks from 8 March to the 29 March 2010 (Monday to Monday) at The Art House, studio space and flat accommodation will be provided. The designer makers on the creative residency will be awarded a bursary of £750 for materials, maintenance and travel expenses and will be expected to keep a log/diary of their activities experiences on the residency. The three DMWM residencies will run simultaneously giving selected makers the opportunity to network and engage in discussion with each other about their practices. Selected designer makers will have the opportunity to talk to a mentor (an arts professional) about their work, ideas and plans before and after the residency.
